January Member of the Month: Sandy Rolon

Dallas SWE is pleased to recognize Sandy Rolon as a Member of the Month for January 2019!  With our Member of the Month program, Dallas SWE seeks to recognize some of our non-officer members whose technical contributions, leadership accomplishments, or SWE volunteer service are particularly noteworthy.  If you would like to nominate a Dallas SWE member for his/her contributions, please email us at dallas.swe@gmail.com.

Our January Member of the Month is Sandy Rolon!  Sandy is new to Dallas SWE and is coming to the organization from Germany.  Her degree is in Life Science Engineering from Friedrich Alexander University.  She is currently working as a Field Engineer for Authentix. Shortly after joining SWE, Sandy was given the privilege to be the chair of the SWE book club.  She also served as the Master of Ceremonies for Design Your World in the Fall and started the festivities by discussing how to work hard towards goals and pursuing a career.

Outside of SWE and work, Sandy is very active.  Her main hobbies are traveling the world, dancing, working out at the gym, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Inline Skating, and Yoga.  She loves to ride her motorcycle and read books when she is not moving.

“My favorite thing about SWE is that in a world where competition is a daily challenge, SWE brings women from all cultures, backgrounds and ages together supporting each other!”
