Outreach Recap: Women in STEM Panel

On December 7th, Dallas SWE Outreach partnered with Coppell HS SWE for our Women In STEM Panel! Coppell HS SWE club president and VP moderated a lively, thoughtful discussion on preparing for college, choosing STEM majors, and being a woman in often male-dominated fields. Panelist Liz Hainey shared her journey in chemical engineering and software architecture while panelist Susanna Pool discussed how coding led her to a career in cyber security. Panelist Robyn Broniewski discussed her background in mechanical engineering and her experience in diverse fields such as oil and gas and telecommunications. Panelist Cyonna Holmes shared how her love of problem solving and science led her to study biomedical engineering in graduate school and pursue a career in pharma strategy. The panelists were all impressed with the student’s enthusiastic questions. Dallas SWE Outreach thanks Coppell HS and we look forward to partnering again in the near future!
