Event Recap – November Professional Development

On November 7th, Dallas SWE hosted its November Professional Development event, Women in STEM: Financial Independence Blueprint for Success, featuring financial coach and engineer Sandra Park. The virtual event provided an engaging and informative session on building a strong financial foundation, tailored specifically for women in STEM.

Sandra shared actionable strategies and mindset shifts to help attendees take control of their finances and work toward financial freedom. Topics included personal finances, distinguishing good credit from bad credit, and understanding retirement plans. Sandra’s expert advice was both practical and empowering, making financial independence feel attainable for all participants.

The event featured an extensive Q&A session, where attendees had the opportunity to ask Sandra their most pressing financial questions. Her thoughtful and insightful responses addressed a range of concerns, leaving participants equipped with new tools to navigate their financial journeys.

As a special bonus, attendees were entered into a raffle for a SWE Swag Bag, adding a fun and exciting close to the evening.

November Outreach Recap at Boys and Girls Club McKinney

On November 14th, Dallas SWE held a memorable outreach event at the Boys and Girls Club in McKinney, bringing STEM education to life for a group of enthusiastic students. The event’s success was driven by the hard work and dedication of the incredible volunteers who devoted their time and energy to inspire the next generation of STEM leaders.

Throughout the event, students participated in interactive STEM activities designed to spark curiosity and creativity. Volunteers shared their experiences and knowledge, creating a supportive and engaging environment that left a lasting impression on the students.
