Dallas SWE organizes or participates in several outreach events throughout the year. Our contributions include but are not limited to volunteers, funding, materials, and engineering expertise. Our commitment to outreach events has contributed to award recognition of our section.
Design Your World – STEM Conference for Girls
The award-winning Design Your World Conference series, launched in 2012, is a collaboration among several non-profit organizations including the Dallas SWE, local collegiate SWE sections, and other schools and STEM organizations in the DFW area.
We invite girls from the greater Dallas area to experience a day of fun and learning through STEM activities. Parents and educators are also invited to learn about resources to help their kids stay interested in STEM and hear from women engineers about their education and workplace experiences.
Spring 2027 Design Your World Conference
Planning for our Spring 2027 Design Your World STEM Conference for Girls is underway. We encourage you sign up for our newsletter and follow us on our Social Media accounts (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, Discord) to be the first to learn when volunteer positions and attendee registration opens up!

Monthly Outreach Events
Dallas SWE hosts monthly outreach events in partnership with organizations like Girls Inc., Boys & Girls Club, local libraries, and professional sports organizations. Sponsors have the opportunity to fund activities, provide meals, or supply take-home materials
that extend learning beyond the event. You can learn about our other outreach events here.
