On Saturday, January 7th, Dallas SWE hosted the first Social brunch of 2017 to ring in the new year with members and their friends! Twenty-five people attended the brunch at Henry’s Majestic in Uptown, filling up their heated patio, where they gave us a warm welcome and a special menu. Afterwards, several members and friends headed over to the Angelika Film Center in Dallas to watch Hidden Figures, a film about the incredible women computers at NASA who never got the recognition they deserved for their roles during the Space Race. Dallas SWE members were also invited to a pre-screening at the Angelika in November and we filled 40 spots during that event! Keep a lookout for more Dallas SWE member appreciation activities in the coming months.
The next Social Brunch is tentatively scheduled for Engineering week on Saturday, February 25!
