Dear Dallas SWE,
Welcome to FY27! I am honored and excited to serve as your president for another year.
Last year was remarkable. We saw record turnout across many of our flagship events. I loved meeting new faces and watching returning members engage in new ways. On behalf of the FY26 Executive Council (EC), thank you for your participation and engagement.
This year, our theme is Momentum and Belonging. Our EC recently met to discuss what these words mean to us and how we want to embody them throughout the year. We want you to stay, contribute, and grow within this community, through more touch points, deeper connections, and programs shaped by you. Attend an event, engage in it, and be part of something bigger. Design Your World, the Professional Development Conference, and SWE Trios all return this year, alongside new additions like skill swap nights and industry specific meetups.
I’m so grateful to lead this organization alongside such a talented, dedicated EC. Lyndsey Bouvé Jackson steps into a new role as President-Elect, helping to shape initiatives while learning the ropes of leading the organization. Sammy Zellner returns as Secretary, expertly leading our digital content and marketing strategy, ensuring we all stay connected and informed through multiple platforms. Claire Mulford returns as Treasurer, bringing innovation to our sponsor relationships and guiding our newly formed finance committee. Anmolika Singh returns as VP of Professional Development, growing our PD Conference and bringing fresh topics and new industry nights to the table. Ella Deane returns as VP of Membership, helping you build meaningful connections through mentorship programs like SWE Trios and social events like book club. We’re welcoming Adeola Adediran to the EC as our new VP of Outreach, and I cannot wait to see the ideas she has already shared with us come to life.
Dallas SWE has always been a second home to me, and I want it to be one for you too. If you are attending your first event, you are not walking in as a stranger. Look for me or any of our officers, and we will make you feel at home. I’m only an email away if you have questions or suggestions.
