September Professional Development Event: Modern Leadership with Michele Rodgers

Join Dallas SWE for an inspiring evening at Peterbilt, proudly sponsored by the Peterbilt Women’s Initiative! Michele Rodgers will lead an engaging session on Modern Leadership, exploring how today’s leaders can foster innovation, inclusivity, and resilience in rapidly evolving workplaces.

Michele Rodgers is the Senior Engineering Manager for Peterbilt Motors, a PACCAR Company. Previously, Rodgers was Director of Business & Product Development for Dynacraft. She has over 25 years of experience at Peterbilt Motors on the engineering and program management teams and has held several positions of increasing responsibility which included the Director of Program Management.

Following the talk, enjoy food and refreshments while networking with fellow members and professionals in the community.

September Members of The Month: FY25 Executive Council

September’s Members of the Month are the officers of the FY25 Executive Council! Thank you for your service to Dallas SWE over the 2024-2025 term.

Katia served as Dallas SWE President for FY25 and steered the organization and maintained our presence in the broader STEM ecosystem. Cyonna Holmes served as President-Elect, providing support to the executive council and maintaining community partnerships. Samantha Zellner served as Secretary, marking over 5 years of service to Dallas SWE as she continued to expertly run our communications and marketing initiatives across multiple digital channels. Ana Gonzales served as Treasurer ensuring we could support our many programs while maintaining our financial health and sponsor relationships. Ashley Johnson served as VP of Membership, leading the ever-popular book club and all other social events. Nicole Anklam served as VP of PD, creating and launching the hugely successful 1st and 2nd Annual Professional Development Days. Robyn Broniewski served as VP of Outreach and continued our tradition of running the impactful Design Your World Annual Conference by leading our DYW program at Collin College.

Vickery Meadow Youth Development Foundation College Festival

Join Dallas SWE at Vickery Meadows to help guide middle and high school students in exploring various career paths at their College Festival Turn Up event!

Sign up to volunteer in helping run a hands-on activity or demonstration! All engineering disciplines are welcome.

The event will be held on October 11, 2025 at 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM at Vickery Meadows Youth Development Foundation: 7110 Holly Hill Dr, Dallas, TX 75231

Registration closes October 7, 2025. Volunteers must be 18 or older.
